Treat Me with Love Sanctuary is a project powered by Empower US Ministries Private Membership Association, whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abandoned, abused and neglected animals to loving homes and to provide sanctuary and medical care to those who are in need of it.
When Duke came to us, he was skin and bones—covered in pressure sores and urine burns from being locked in a crate too small for his body. The before photos are hard to look at… but his transformation has been nothing short of miraculous.
With weeks of critical care, he regained his health—and his hope.
This beautiful family adopted Duke and gave him the love he’s always deserved. But his past trauma has left him with lingering boundary issues, especially around their little Frenchie, “Potato.” Despite their best efforts, the tension became too much. With broken hearts, they had to return him.
So we made a promise: Duke will get the help he needs—and we’ll do everything we can to reunite him with his forever family. He’s now enrolled in a 5-week board-and-train program at Next Step K-9 in Puyallup with private sessions for the family too. But we need your help to cover the cost.
Duke came to us emaciated as skin and bones, abused and covered in pressure sores from the middle of his spine to the tip of his tail from being crammed in a crate half his size for days on end.
After 6 to 8 small, high nutrient rich meals per day, including pre and probiotics, Omega 3 & 6 supplements and a high calorie goat milk supplement, Duke's body is starting to absorb the nutrients and heal from the abuse of starvation.
This big sweet boy is so loving and affectionate with people in spite of the cruelty he endured.
Make a difference in the lives of the animals who are rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed by Treat Me With Love Project. You can contribute to our Sanctuary Wish List, volunteer on the farm or contribute a Membership Fee that helps us continue our mission of giving a new life to those neglected, abandoned and abused.
